Overwhelmed & Burnt Out: Reclaiming Yourself in the New Year

  • https://springhealth.zoom.us/j/94276998127 (map)

Motherhood can leave you feeling stretched thin, emotionally exhausted, and overwhelmed—especially after the demands of the holidays. If you’re entering the new year feeling depleted, stressed, or disconnected from yourself, this support group is for you.

This group offers a safe, nonjudgmental space for mothers to talk openly about burnout, the invisible mental load, and the pressure to “do it all.” Together, we’ll focus on releasing unrealistic expectations, learning practical ways to cope with overwhelm, and reconnecting with yourself—without guilt or shame.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need support. This group is about starting the year feeling supported, understood, and reminded that you’re not alone.

What to Expect

  • Space to name and unpack what’s contributing to your overwhelm and burnout

  • Gentle prompts to help you reflect on stress, emotional exhaustion, and the invisible mental load

  • Supportive conversation focused on releasing unrealistic expectations and pressure

  • Practical grounding tools to help manage overwhelm and feel more emotionally regulated

  • Connection with other mothers who understand how heavy motherhood can feel

What Not to Expect

  • Pressure to “stay positive” or minimize how hard things feel

  • Judgment for feeling tired, overwhelmed, or burnt out

  • Advice-giving or fixing unless you ask for it

  • Expectations to show up with energy, clarity, or answers

Please Note

This is a virtual support group facilitated by a licensed therapist and offered by Moms Mental Matters ,a nonprofit maternal mental health organization. While the group is therapist-led, it is not therapy and does not replace individual mental health treatment. Participation does not establish a therapeutic relationship.

This group is designed to provide community support, validation, and coping tools in a safe and respectful space.

If you are in need of individual mental health care, therapy services are available through Moms Mental Matters for eligible residents, or we encourage you to seek support from a licensed mental health provider in your area.
